We woke up to 29 degree temperatures this morning. The bikes were showing tell tale signs of the overnight lows.
We departed Winter Park with temperatures around 36, but the group all agreed it felt warmer than the day before.
Dave led the way out of Winter Park over Berthoud Pass. We braved the ruts through the I-70 Tunnel and turned south onto the Top of the Rockies Byway.
We stopped for breakfast in Leadville, home of Skijoring.
Breakfast at the Golden Burro was sponsored by Keith and Bob was "Two Back".
Bob led the way up to Independence Pass and the Continental Divide.
Lou, Gary, and Rich braved 6' deep melting snow to look over the edge.
Lou gave the group a scenic tour of dead end streets in Aspen.
We stopped for a group photo on our way to Delta.
The pool was closed at the Days Inn.
The "Best" restaurant in Delta was closed on Monday's so Dave phoned a friend who recommended The Stockyards. Lou self imposed a penalty for all the u-turns in Aspen.
Carrie struggled with the Age Game, but was a good sport about it.
Mark and Gary were picked as brothers.

Day 2 - Golden, CO to Winter Park, CO
The day started out looking gloomy. The planned Pickle Ball tournament had to be postponed due to cold and rain.
We delayed our start until 9 AM hoping the temperature would break 40 degrees before leaving.
Dave led the way to The Last Shot restaurant, where Paul picked up the tab. All of us were glad to stop, it was a chilly morning ride.
As it was Sunday, we wanted to stop at Saint Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church to give thanks to God.
Paul's generosity continued as he paid for many of our Park Passes for Rocky Mountain National Park.
The view from the top.
We paused long enough for a group photo.
We stayed at the Best Western in Winter Park.
Dinner at Deno's was delicious. Ken learned the rules of the number game moderator the hard way. Gary and Dave picked up the other half of dinner.

Day 1 - Denver, CO to Golden, CO
Five by air, two by Motorcycle, and one by car, we all met up with Dave in Colorado today.
Jeff was nice enough to escort the group flying.

Dave, Keith, David, and Eddie met the aviators at Mile High Harley Davidson to pick up their rental bikes.

First stop, Indian Hills! Vince claimed he was the author of all the quotes. He asked to pose with the group.

Just a quick ride up to Dave's place, where Lou offered to help cook, but he really just ate all the bacon!

Deb and Dave prepared a meal fit for Cardinals! They were nice enough to share with everyone.

Mark, Eddie, David, and Rich bunked in the loft. A game of Ring the Bull broke out.

Mark showed us how it's done.

Daily total: 61.2 Miles
