Day 5 - Ponderay ID to Riggins ID
Being in the Pacific time zone, we decided to depart a bit earlier. The plan was to be "Wheels Up" at 7:45 AM, make the short drive to Coeur d'Alene and then stop for breakfast.
After a quick tour of The Coeur d'Alene Resort parking lot, we decided to keep heading south.
A few map checks later, we found ourselves back on course. Idaho Route 5 took us through Heyburn State and past Chatcolet Lake.
Two hours after departing the hotel, we stopped for a snack at a gas station.
Idaho Route 3 was a great ride. We saw 2-3 bald eagles, but did't capture them on film.
Pulled into Hells Canyon Harley Davidson at 1:30 PM to meet Mark's uncle Ed and his wife Betty.
They took us to the Rooster's Landing.
Rich somehow won his second number game in a row. Gary just happened to be sitting in the wrong seat. At least the view of the river was nice.
The views from 95 were amazing. The group picture above and the photo below were taken from yet another gravel rest stop.
Pulled into Riggins at 6:30 PM because we switched back to Mountain Time after crossing the Salmon River.
Dinner at the Seven Devils Saloon Steak House were complements of Dave and Bob.
Audrey did her best to win the Age Game, but she had a few of us out of place.
Accommodations for the evening were at the Salmon Rapids Lodge.
325 Miles logged for the day
